Deputy/Associate Head of Finance

Responsibilities:

• Assist in tracking financial performance, setting goals, and preparing reports to support profitability and growth

• Assist in reviewing and implementing internal controls and procedures

• Assist in monitoring funding schemes and research projects

• Compile and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and identifying variances

• Contribute to financial models and forecasts, and prepare monthly and quarterly financial summaries

• Support risk identification and compliance efforts, including audit preparation and tax reporting

• Monitor cash flow and treasury operations, and provide analysis for short-term and long-term cash position

• Assist in training finance staff and deliver financial insights to guide business decisions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline

• Professional qualification (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent)

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in budgeting, financial and management reporting

• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong business acumen and innovative mindset to tackle emerging challenges

• Excellent analytical and communication skills in both English and Chinese

• Proven organizational and leadership capabilities to engage effectively with stakeholders

• Experience managing Mainland China operations is highly desirable
