Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT Infrastructure operation engineers and data centre operators

  • Oversee end-to-end operations and monitoring of Data Centre IT infrastructure

  • Act as the escalation point of DC operators and high severity DC incidents

  • Ensure all activities align with service level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies

  • Manage and monitor data centre IT infrastructure including servers, storage and networking

  • Analyse customer data centre IT Services information and provide performance enhancing recommendations

  • Oversee routine maintenance, updates, and patch management

  • Manage incident, problem, and change management processes based on ITIL standards

  • Communicate with various users, technical teams and stakeholders on incident, problem and change management

  • Chair or participate in the DC IT Services related meetings

  • Respond to outages and service disruptions, ensuring minimal downtime

  • Participate in and manage ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Manage staff scheduling, task assignments, and performance reviews

  • Prepare regular reports on infrastructure health, incidents, and capacity planning

  • Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and infrastructure diagrams

  • Ensure 24x7 operational readiness, availability, and escalation management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Telco/ICT industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role

  • In-depth knowledge of data centre operations, infrastructure, and environmental systems

  • Familiarity with server, storage and network services operation

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Prince2) are an advantage

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making skills and customer service orientation

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
