We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:


Course Developer (Freelance) (ECON 4007AED LAW AND ECONOMICS) (A&SS) (Ref: 25001XJ)


Applications are invited for the Course Developer post for the higher-level distance learning course ECON 4007AED LAW AND ECONOMICS.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Writing up the course guide, course materials, supplementary online and/or audio-visual learning materials;
  • Writing up the activities and assessments to enhance students’ learning experience through the course guide;
  • žContributing to the development of the blueprint of the course; and
  • žPerforming any other duties related to the course development as assigned.


Candidates

Candidates are expected to possess the following:

  • A recognized degree in Law and Economics, or related fields. (Higher degrees such as JD, masteral or doctoral degrees in Law and Economics is a plus);
  • A sound knowledge in economics; as well as a strong knowledge of the principles of law in topics such as property rights, contracts, legal processes and tort are essential;
  • Good writing, organization and communication skills are essential;
  • žCourse development and/or teaching experience at post-secondary and/or tertiary level would be an advantage.


Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a freelance basis.
