Purpose of the Role: Responsible for overseeing and optimizing our automation and mechanical systems within the healthcare service environment. The role is also responsible for monitoring, managing, and improving the performance of these critical systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

 

Expectations of the Role:

  • Continuously monitor the performance of automation and mechanical systems, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall efficiency

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for system failures and complex technical issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors

  • Oversee the planning and execution of preventive maintenance programs to ensure the long-term reliability of systems

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in system performance

  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, key metrics, and improvement initiatives for management review

  • Manage relationships with vendors providing automation and mechanical equipment and services

  • Provide guidance and support to a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment

 

Attributes Required:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing automation and mechanical systems, preferably within the healthcare service industry

  • Strong knowledge of automation technologies, mechanical systems, and control systems.

 

Advantage to Have:

  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring tools

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Experienced with ERP/WMS system is a plus
