Job Description

Job Overview:

We are actively seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer for our group holding company, with experience in a trading, fintech, or financial services firm. This is a fast-paced role in an intense industry where innovation is key and requires the candidate to be flexible and work to tight deadlines, while working towards guarding and enhancing the firm’s reputation and ensuring integrity for our business partners and clients. The right individual will be given the platform to make a significant impact within the firm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain the group’s compliance framework including policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct AML/KYC and CDD screenings for clients/counterparties onboarding involving risk assessment and transactions monitoring. Advising Management in respect of said AML/KYC tasks.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and changes in law relating to the group’s business lines in the relevant jurisdictions.
  • Work collaboratively with Management and across business units on compliance-related matters including development and implementation of training programs and awareness campaigns.
  • Closely support Head of Legal and Compliance in compliance-related matters including legal and regulatory consultation, compliance risk prevention and control, external investigation, regulatory communication, and compliance review.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Law, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the fintech or financial industry.
  • CAMS preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial laws and regulations, data protection, and financial crime-related rules and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate financial crime risks,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams and business lines.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
