Clinical Instructor (Nursing Laboratory), Health Sciences (Ref.: 25/88/HS/CI)

Duties:

1. Organize workshop support and pre-demon sessions for nursing / health care courses and lead the laboratory technicians’ team to prepare all required settings and equipment in nursing laboratory.

2. Assist nursing lab manager in daily operation of the nursing laboratory.

3. Provide updated information on consumables/ equipment of current nursing practice and schedule procurement plan.

4. Conduct coaching, teaching and assessment to nursing students on delivery of patient care in clinical / laboratory settings such as hospital or clinic and communicate with clinical staff to create optimal clinical experiences for the students;

5. Evaluate nursing students in clinical / laboratory settings and provide feedback to the students on their performance;

6. The appointee may work under different schedules due to specific operational requirements, including weekday evenings and weekends.

Appointment Criteria:

1.   A relevant bachelor’s degree in nursing or other academic qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent;

2.   Have a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate (General / Psychiatric) issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong;

3.   At least 3 years’ relevant post-registration clinical experience ; and

4.   Preferably with teaching experience.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
