Category Officer (Electronic/Small Home Appliance /Gadget Products)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic buying plan to cope with company target and maximize market sales in Hong Kong
• Recommend and exploit potential products from market knowledge and data analysis, buy the right products in coherence with the retail chain’s positioning
• Execute all merchandising process, from sourcing, issuing orders, expediting order confirmation, pricing and monitoring sales performance
• Manage product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring that the products meet the company's standards and specifications.
• Analyze market trends to forecast upcoming product demands and potential sales volumes.

• Monitor sales, stock level, merchandise distribution, replenishment & allocation plan to maintain optimal stock level.

Requirements:

• Diploma holder or above in Merchandising or related discipline
• With relevant experience in sourcing and buying in HK retail market is an advantage

• No relevant category experience but enthusiastic and willing to learn may also be considered.

• Good negotiation, analytical and communication skills
• Acute market sense with strong analytical mind and good numeric sense
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
• Knowledge in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing
• Responsible, initiative, able to work under pressure & meet tight deadline
