Career Services Officer, Career Centre (Ref.: 25/93/CC/PO) (At the rank of Programme Officer)

Duties:
1. Developing and implementing career-development programmes and initiatives, such as alumni career network, employer information sessions etc;
2. Conducting career training sessions to support students in acquiring and enhancing essential career skills, such as job search strategies, networking, and professionalism;
3. Providing career coaching to students, including career assessment, job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and networking skills development;
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of employer information and promote SFU students to employers, job postings, and applying records to produce reports related to career services;
5. Collaborating with faculty and academic departments to integrate career development into the curriculum and provide career-related resources to students; and
6. Performing other duties as assigned.
Appointment Criteria:
1. Applicants should have a recognised bachelor’s degree or above;
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in related fields such as tertiary education, career services, human resources and services in commercial sector;
3. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
4. Knowledge of career development theories, job search strategies, and employment trends;
5. Excellent skills in Excel and reports generating would be a huge advantage;
6. Ability to conduct career training sessions for students; and
7. Immediate availability would be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
