Buyer (Snack/Food)

Responsibilities：

• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage and maximize cost savings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and innovation.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for the snack or food product category.
• Collaborate closely with the buying team to understand product requirements, trends, and market demands.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential sourcing opportunities, ensuring a diverse and competitive supplier base.
• Proactively seek new sources of supply, both domestically and internationally, to optimize product quality, availability, and cost.
• Assist in ad-hoc assignments as required by supervisor

Requirements：

• Diploma or above in Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Data Analytics or related disciplines
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement preferably within the snack / food or retail industry.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the snack and food product market, with a specific focus on globle suppliers and production.
• Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost savings.
• Preferably have working experience in a snack and food brand company
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Responsibility, detail oriented, well-organized with proactive attitude
• Proficient in using MS Office
• Immediately available is highly preferred
