Role Overview

As the Business Operations Manager, you will be the operational backbone of our consulting practice. You’ll oversee project delivery workflows, resource allocation, and performance metrics to ensure our teams are executing efficiently and profitably. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing delivery pipelines, utilization targets, and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery Oversight

    • Monitor and manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of ERP projects

    • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met

    • Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Consultant Utilization & Resource Management

    • Track and optimize consultant utilization across active and upcoming projects

    • Maintain a forward-looking resource plan to balance workload and capacity

    • Partner with HR and leadership to forecast hiring needs based on pipeline

  • Operational Reporting & Analytics

    • Develop and maintain operational dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as project delivery timelines, consultant utilization, billable hours, and margin performance

    • Collaborate with finance and delivery teams to reconcile project budgets, forecast revenue, and support strategic planning

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of delivery metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement

    • Present insights to leadership and recommend operational improvements

  • Process Optimization

    • Standardize delivery processes and tools across the consulting practice

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability

    • Implement best practices for project governance and documentation

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Act as a liaison between sales, delivery, and finance teams to align priorities

    • Support pre-sales efforts with resource planning and delivery feasibility assessments

    • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive delivery management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field

  • 10+ years of working experience with at least 5 years in business operations or delivery management, preferably within a consulting or ERP environment

  • Strong understanding of ERP project lifecycles (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)

  • Proven ability to manage resource planning and utilization metrics

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
