Job Description

  • Develop and execute business development strategies for discovering and securing new business opportunities across multiple revenue streams, including advertising (print, digital, sponsored content), subscriptions (print, digital, premium memberships), events (virtual and in-person), partnerships, affiliate programs, e-commerce, and community-driven initiatives.
  • Develop client relationships and strengthen business partnerships with advertisers, sponsors, community leaders, influencers, brands, and organizations to build a robust revenue ecosystem.
  • Prepare compelling sales and pitch materials; identify, qualify, and convert prospects through targeted outreach and networking to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain a healthy base of leads and contacts through extensive research and leveraging new and existing networks, social media, and industry connections.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of prospective customers or partners, using data-driven insights to prioritize high-impact opportunities.
  • Liaise with Sales & Marketing team to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue, integrating community engagement, content creation, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the business development team, mentoring staff, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve revenue targets.
  • Innovate and implement multi-channel initiatives, including O2O (Online-to-Offline) models, digital transformations, and hybrid revenue products, to maximize income from diverse sources.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, customer acquisition costs, retention rates, and ROI; adjust strategies based on analytics.
  • Explore and negotiate high-impact deals, including licensing agreements, co-branding, joint ventures, or acquisitions to expand the magazine's reach and income diversity.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in media, publishing, digital monetization, and community building to propose innovative ideas that enhance revenue streams and competitive positioning.
