Bilingual Math Teacher (Contractor/Hourly Rate)

About the role

ME Education is a leading premium education provider for learners of all ages in Hong Kong. We specialize in academic tutoring for students following international or local curricula, including IB, AS & A-Level, IGCSE, AP, and DSE. Our subjects include math, science, physics, biology, chemistry, English literature, geography, history, and more.

In addition to subject tutoring, we provide standardized test preparation for US and UK exams and school entrance exams. Our programs cater to students from kindergarten through primary, secondary, and university levels. We also offer support for families navigating the admissions process and cultural transitions. Currently, we operate four learning centers across three locations in Hong Kong.

We seek a talented Math Teacher who can conduct lessons in English and Mandarin for a diverse range of students. This role is perfect for experienced educators who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are passionate about helping students of all ages achieve their academic goals.

What you'll be doing

• Design and deliver engaging, student-centered Mathematics lessonsfor both international and local students in Hong Kong.

• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate the unique learning needs of each student.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and assign homework to support academic development.
• Collaborate with the education team to share best practices and enhance the quality of our programs.
• Arrive punctually for all scheduled classes.
• Conduct student assessments, develop teaching plans, and implement curriculum lesson plans and educational programs within your areas of expertise.
• Prepare relevant teaching materials and reports on student progress while setting achievable learning goals.
• Be culturally aware and sensitive, fostering meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Exhibit a friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic demeanor. Show genuine interest in students’ progress and recognize different learning styles and preferences.

What we're looking for

• Hold appropriate professional qualifications CELTA or equivalent in-class TEFL or TESOL certificate (online TEFL will NOT be considered)
• Hold at least a Bachelor's Degree.
• Teaching experience in IB, AS & A-Levels, IGCSE, AP, or DSE and a proven score improvement record among past students are pluses.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a math teacher or tutor, preferably in an international school or local band one school and education centre environment
• Strong command of both English and Mandarin, with the ability to teach effectively in both languages
• Excellent knowledge of the Hong Kong education system and curriculum, particularly in English and mathematics
• Demonstrated success in helping students of diverse backgrounds and abilities achieve their learning goals
• Passionate about education and a commitment to ongoing professional development
