Job Description

Major Duties:
The appointee is expected to contribute to the planning, development, implementation and review of the undergraduate and graduate programmes under the Department of Hospitality and Business Management.  S/he will provide strong academic leadership in the formulation of learning and teaching strategies; curriculum development of modules for both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programmes in the Department.  The appointee will also be expected to maintain close contacts with industry, commerce, and other educational institutes on collaborative arrangement to promote and ensure the relevance and excellence of the programmes.
 
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration or related disciplines, with substantial relevant teaching experience at tertiary level; demonstrate excellent achievement in research and scholarly activities, and experience in professional practice in the relevant fields; and have high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
 
Notes:
(1)    The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2)    The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3)    The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
