Position Overview
The Assistant Key Account Manager (Wholesale) is a pivotal role in supporting the growth and retention of existing retail partners. You will be the primary support contact for a portfolio of assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional service, managing the order process from start to finish, and identifying opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Relationship Support:
- Act as a key support liaison for assigned retail accounts, building strong, trusted relationships with buyers and store managers.
- Proactively handle day-to-day account inquiries, including product availability, order status, and promotional details.
- Maintain and update all account-specific information and contact details in the system.
Order & Inventory Management:
- Manage the end-to-end order process: entry, confirmation, modification, and tracking.
- Work closely with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Monitor stock levels at retailer locations and proactively propose replenishment orders to minimize out-of-stocks.
- Analyze sell-through data to provide insights and recommendations on inventory performance.
Sales & Business Development Support:
- Support the achievement of sales targets and strategic objectives for your assigned accounts.
- Identify and flag opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and increasing distribution within existing accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of selling tools, including line sheets, product catalogs, and presentation decks for account meetings.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, sell-through, and stock levels for your accounts.
- Provide analysis to help the team understand sales trends, product performance, and market opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback from the retail landscape.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a wholesale, key account management within the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide outstanding service.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
