Job Description
Reporting to the Safety Manager, the incumbent will:
- Ensure compliance with Schindler’s Employee Safety and Health Policy and relevant local safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety management systems, including risk and incident management.
- Support the integration of safety requirements into business processes
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors to enhance safety awareness and skills.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee the reporting and investigation of safety incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Work closely with the Safety Manager and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety objectives.
- Communicate safety policies and procedures effectively across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Science or related disciplines
- A Registered Safety Officer is a must
- Chartered Membership is a plus
- Registered Safety Auditor is a plus
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience, preferably in the lifts and escalators or construction industry
- Audit skills on ISO 45001
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Good computer skills of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
