Art & Design Teacher (Starting from August 2025)

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 through to A-Level Art and Design, guiding students through the curriculum while encouraging innovative thinking and artistic exploration. The ideal applicant will have experience teaching across all key stages and a passion for inspiring students to develop their creative talents.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in Art and Design across multiple Key Stages.

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum materials that cater to diverse learning styles.

• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity and critical thinking.

• Provide constructive feedback to students on their work, encouraging improvement and personal growth.

• Organise and supervise extracurricular activities, including art clubs and exhibitions.

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall arts programme and share best practices.

• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends in art education and practice.

• Engage with parents and guardians to support student progress and achievement.

Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant degree in Art and Design or a related field.

• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Proven experience teaching Art and Design across all key stages, particularly at GCSE and A-Level.

• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge assessment framework and curriculum.

• A bonus if candidates possess strong skills in sculpture or three-dimensional art forms, though this is not a requirement.
