Analyst Programmer / Senior Analyst Programmer

The Job

• Carry out programming tasks and web design according to specifications;
• Prepare test plan, test cases, test environments and conduct testing;
• Support user acceptance test and system implementation;
• Provide on-going user and application support;
• Prepare and maintain system documentation according to the guidelines and standards;
• Assist Systems Analysts in user requirement collection, system analysis and design, and vendor management; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person

• A recognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent;
• At least two years of experience in IT application development preferred, candidates with less experience with good aptitude / personal attributes may also be considered;
• Knowledge in one or more of below:

-    .Net and/or MS SharePoint application development with web parts, ShortPoint, and/or Power Automate

-    Website UI / UX design, responsive web design

-    Web application security programming / OWASP standards

-    Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful API, XML, JSON

-    SQL / Stored Procedures in Oracle and/or MS SQL

• Hands-on technical experience in 3-tier and web application development;
• Experience in working with vendors for outsource projects would be an advantage;
• Experience in developing AI services / applications using Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services or Azure AI Search is a plus;
• Conversant with SDLC development methodology;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Good interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Able to work independently while reporting progress as necessary; and
• Good working attitude, flexible and a good team player.

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered.  All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
