Analyst Programmer (Backend)

About the Job

As a Analyst Programmer (Backend) in Choco Up, you will be part of the growing development team to build our market leading fintech and growth products that helps digital merchants in Asia boost business growth. You will be based in Hong Kong, and work closely with the Product and Development team in Hong Kong and Singapore.

If you are passionate about building products from scratch to delivery in a dynamic startup environment, you will find excitement and empowerment here in our team.

Products you may work on include dashboards and business intelligence, digital wallet, global payments, global business banking, corporate cards, data integrations, data analytics (AI/ML), etc.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for web backend development and implement of deliverables according to specifications in a product based development environment
• Gather and analyse users’ requirements and implement to application features accordingly
• Responsible for API and Database design, implementation, provisioning, deployment, maintenance
• Work closely with teams of 6 - 7 developers and provide guidance to junior developers

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in NodeJS, ExpressJS, and MongoDB
• Experience in Cloud Service Providers and MySQL is highly advantageous
• Experience of high performance transaction processing, event processing are advantages
• Understanding of Agile software delivery and DevOps Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices
• Understanding of design patterns for Application, Microservices, Data, Infrastructure and Integration
• Creative, Self-motivated, Initiative, Well-organized, Details-oriented and able to work under pressure
• Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Immediate availability is highly preferred
