Job Description
This role is dedicated to supporting our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) unit. The successful candidate will responsible for all accounting functions related to our NGO project under the S88 standard. This role involves managing comprehensive accounting and reporting functions, supporting budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and contributing to system improvements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and efficient processes and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Accounting and Reporting Management:
- Handle daily accounting tasks, including the processing of revenues, cost expenses, and voucher review.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, etc.), ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
- Regularly reconcile the general ledger with subsidiary ledgers, address discrepancies, and ensure consistency between the accounts and physical assets.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary financial information and supporting the completion of audit reports.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Assist in developing the annual budget and rolling forecasts, track budget execution, analyze variances, and suggest improvements.
- Monitor expenses across departments, review the reasonableness of budgets, and optimize cost control processes.
- Regularly prepare budget execution analysis reports to provide data support for management decision-making.
Cash Flow Management:
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, monitor the company’s financial dynamics, and ensure the safety and liquidity of funds.
- Coordinate fund allocation and payment plans to enhance the efficiency of fund usage.
Financial Process Optimization:
- Streamline existing financial processes, identify inefficiencies and risks, and drive improvements toward standardization and automation.
- Participate in the optimization and upgrade of financial systems (such as ERP) to enhance accounting and management efficiency.
- Develop or revise financial policies and operating manuals to ensure compliance and practicability.
Other Duties:
- Manage tax declarations, tax planning, and tax risk control.
- Work with business departments to provide financial data analysis to support business decision-making.
Complete ad-hoc financial tasks assigned by superiors.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or related fields.
- CPA/ ACCA/ CMA certification is preferred.
Work Experience:
Over 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, with preference given to candidates with experience in the Big Four accounting firms or NGO S88.
Professional Skills:
- Proficient in using SAP.
- Skilled in Excel (functions, pivot tables, etc.), and knowledge of data analysis tools such as Power BI/SQL is a plus.
Logical thinking with a strong sensitivity to and analytical ability with data.
Personal Qualities:
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Strong sense of responsibility, meticulous and rigorous work ethic, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good cross-departmental communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork.
- Experience with process optimization thinking and practical experience in financial digital transformation is preferred.
