Job Description
The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We provide aspiring candidates with ample staff development opportunities and a promising career in higher education.
We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Registrar or his/her nominee, the appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Overseeing and leading the day-to-day operations of the Postgraduate Admissions & Enrolment Office and working closely with other offices in the Registry, such as Class Scheduling, Assignments and Tutoring, Examinations, Quality Assurance, Advanced Standing, Student Records and Graduation;
- Leading and delivering workflow improvement, system enhancement and regular updates to suit the needs of admissions and enrolments;
- Leading and providing professional student services with a focus on improving student engagement and service efficiency;
- Overseeing the production of admissions and enrolment materials including printed and online versions to ensure accuracy and quality;
- Coaching and supervising team staff in daily operation according to the School’s policies and guidelines;
- Contributing to the review and implementation of policies, regulations, and procedures;
- Assisting supervisor(s) in the preparation of meetings, reports, projects and student events; and
- Performing other duties assigned by the Registrar or his/her nominee.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized degree with at least 6 years’ relevant post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in Higher Education sector;
- Experience in working with computerized student record system and with a strong sense of system operation and process streamlining;
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and data analytics skills;
- Good computer literacy and familiarity with the use of technology in administration;
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
- Be a good team player with strong sense of responsibility and motivation;
- Capable of multi-tasking, attentive to details and able to work under pressure; and
- Strong commitment and capacity to embrace new changes.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
