Qualifications:

• A Registered Professional Engineer (Geotechnical) or equivalent as recognized by Geotechnical Engineering Office of Civil Engineering and Development and Buildings Department.
• 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering of which 2 years shall be as Resident Engineer (Geotechnical) with relevant experience.
• Met the language proficiency requirements of Grade D or Level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent.
• Certificate, Dip or higher Dip in occupational safety and health or in construction safety or with the qualifications as safety officer / safety supervisor as prescribed under regulations, will be an advantage.
• Preference will be given to those with knowledge and experience in the field of geotechnical engineering design and / or practice.

• 須在香港中學會考(會考)或香港中學文憑考試(文憑試)在英文運用及中文運用取得D級成績或3級以上成績以符合有關職位的語文能力要求，或同等學歷。
• 持有職業安全健康或建築安全的證書，文憑或高級文，或具有安全主任/安全監督員資格者會作優先考慮。
• 在岩土工程領域具有設計和/或施工方面的知識和經驗者會作優先考慮。

Duties and responsibilities:

• To ensure the Geotechnical Works is carried out in accordance with relevant government regulations, design assumptions, specifications, contract requirements, and good engineering practice and co-ordinate amongst the RSS team and the Contractor's site team(s) with a view to ensure the safety matters are full compliance with the contract requirements;
• Comment on the Contractor's method statements and risk assessments to ensure all potential and foreseeable hazards are effectively prevented/mitigated with proper site administrative and engineering control measures in place;
• Carry out any other duties specified by the Client / the Architect / the Structural Engineer due to nature of geotechnical works required in the project;
• Report the site related matters to the Client's Representative / the Architect / the Structural Engineer and the Geotechnical Engineer.

職責及職務:

• 確保岩土工程按照相關條例、設計、規格、合約要求進行；與駐地盤工程監督團隊和承建商之間進行協調，以確保安全事項完全符合合同要求；
• 審查承建商的施工方法和風險評估，並透過適當的行政管理和工程控制措施，有效預防/減輕所有潛在和可預見的危險；
• 執行業主/建築師/結構工程師所指明的任何其他有關岩土工程的職責；
• 向業主代表/建築師/結構工程師和岩土工程師報告地盤相關事宜。

The above position will be on 12 months' contract basis and may be extended subject to the actual project duration.  Salary will be followed RSS Master Pay Scale point 32 to 44 subject to the relevant RSS experience and maximum 15% gratuity will be offered after completion of the contract with satisfaction of the performance.
