Assistant / Merchandising Manager, Non-Electric - Kitchen Hardgoods

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product sourcing, managing supplier relationships, intra-group prospection, product life cycle management, account servicing, and cost control. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify potential suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to assess their capabilities, reliability, and quality standards
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
• Handle day-to-day sourcing operations and formulate sourcing strategy
• Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
• Work closely with QA team to handle customer complaints and technical information requests
• Collaborate closely with intra-company departments to understand their sourcing needs, specifications, and requirements
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in regulations that may impact sourcing strategies.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with cross functional team for new product development from sketch to shipment

• Frequent travel for sourcing, procurement activities and intra-company communications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of related sourcing experience or in a procurement role.
• Experience in account management within OEM/ODM manufacturing, preferably in cookware or other kitchen hardgoods, being definite advantage.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in using sourcing software and presentation tools.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
