We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office of Planning and Analysis:

System Analyst / Analyst Programmer (OPA) (Ref: 250028Z)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

· Designing, developing, testing and deploying new systems;

· Administering, maintaining and enhancing existing systems and dashboards;

· Providing technical support to end users; and

· Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Office of Planning and Analysis

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

· A recognized degree, preferably a higher degree with post-qualification experience, in computer science, data science, statistics, business analytics or related areas;

· Solid experience in web application development with Python, Node.js, PHP and R;

· In-depth knowledge of HTML5 markup languages and scripting languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and CSS3;

· Experience of web development framework/library such as Django and Plotly;

· Prior working experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, MS SQL Analysis Service, and Power BI) is preferred.

· Good communication skills in both English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).
