Senior Buyer (Sports & Fashion)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the product buying in HK & Macau Business' buying team.
• Assistant in managing the ordering and inventory on a store level.
• Regular review and tracking sales performance through creating timely and accurate weekly/ monthly sales report and analysis.
• Manage daily merchandise related tasks, such as defectives, wrongly shipped etc.
• Formulate pricing strategies based on competitive analysis.
• Determine buying guides and assortment strategy to obtain a seasonal target.
• Provide merchandise support for promotion events, arrange GWP allocation and delivery.
• Place orders for stock replenishment and provide instructions for stock consolidation.
• Recommend and exploit potential products from market knowledge and data analysis, buy the right products in coherence with the retail chain’s positioning
• Communicate with other departments including Operations, Marketing, Logistics, and VM in monitoring the implementation quality and overall effectiveness and sell-thru of merchandise.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Degree with at least 3 years relevant experience in retail is preferred
• Proficient in MS-office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proficiency in both written and spoken in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Excellent product sensibility and understanding of competitive retail landscape
• Strong in communicating with people from different background at all levels
• Detail-oriented, well organized, willing to work under tight schedule
