Project Assistant (Corporate Communication and Marketing) (1-year contract)

Established in 2020 under InnoHK, a major initiative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to develop Hong Kong as a hub for global research, the AI Chip Center for Emerging Smart Systems (ACCESS) is wholly owned by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and in collaboration on research with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH), and the University of Notre Dame, etc. It is a tightly coordinated and multi-disciplinary center for advancing IC design and design automation technologies to enable novel data-centric computing paradigms supporting a wide range of AI applications.

The appointee will primarily support on a broad range of corporate communications and marketing related tasks and also provide necessary administration support to the Center when required:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in maintaining the contents on website, social media platforms and other publications regularly including, but not limited to copywriting, translation and editing of marketing collaterals;
• Work closely with internal teams and/or external parties on campaigns, conference events, media activities and follow up the logistics arrangements;
• Support media interviews, shootings and handle enquiries from different channels;
• Provide administrative and logistics support on daily office operations; and
• Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Higher diploma or above with at least 5 years of working experience, preferably in Marketing/ Public Relations/ Corporate Communications, preferably gained from agencies, sizeable corporations or public organizations will be an advantage;
• Proficient in marketing software and possesses hands on experience in managing social media accounts including WeChat and LinkedIn is preferred;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing; knowledge in Adobe Illustration, and Photoshop will be an advantage;
• Mature, Independent, capable of multi-tasking and a good team player;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact internal and external parties;
• Able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
