Position Overview:
The Senior IT Application Support Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining brokerage and brokerage-related systems. This role will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain brokerage and brokerage-related systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
2. Provide expert-level application support to stakeholders, addressing their technical needs promptly.
3. Follow-up on issues, liaise with vendors, and manage user requests to ensure timely resolution.
4. Manage user management, configuration, office and Network infrastructure to maintain operational efficiency.
5. Assist in the development of IT-related policies and procedures to standardize processes.
6. Assist in completing annual IT audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
7. Provide support to brokerage-related positions, leveraging relevant industry experience.
Qualification:
1. Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
2. Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Securities firms or Investment banks.
3. Familiarity with scripting languages (Windows, Linux shell script) and SQL.
4. Knowledge in handling BSS is preferred.
5. Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese. Fluent in Mandarin is preferred.
6. Highly self-motivated, able to deep dive the root cause and provide resolution with minimum supervision.
7. Occasional weekend support for system release or market rehearsal is required.
