Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant

Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least one year of work experience as laboratory technician; (iii) competence in FFPE microtome sectioning and section staining; (iv) a good team player with good communication skills, detail-minded work attitude, and able to work independently; and (v) self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving skills.

The appointee will work in a small sized university laboratory team, which is focused on wet lab experiments. Duties include (a) updating and managing laboratory inventory; (b) providing assistance in purchasing laboratory consumables; (c) cleansing laboratory area and materials; (d) performing histological sectioning of FFPE blocks; and (e) performing H&E and immunohistochemistry staining of FFPE slides.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for six months commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
