The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Interior Designer to join our collective. In this role, you will be an integral part of our creative process, contributing to projects from the initial spark of an idea through to its final, flawless realization. You will collaborate closely with our Design Directors and senior team to shape the stories we tell through our environments.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Concept:

• Collaborate in the development of design concepts through sketching, planning, and 3D visualization.
• Conduct research and select directional imagery, materials, and finishes to build a compelling narrative.
• Participate in concept reviews with Design Directors and Project Leaders.

Schematic Design:

• Source and coordinate material samples from vendors and fabricators.
• Assist in formulating the initial furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) direction.
• Develop the approved concept through detailed sketches, plans, and the creation of custom finish palettes.

Design Development:

• Translate the approved design language into buildable drawings and details.
• Collaborate with the specification team on the curation of FF&E, hardware, plumbing, and architectural finishes.
• Assist in coordinating with external consultants (lighting, MEP, etc.) to ensure a fully integrated design.

Construction Documents:

• Develop a complete and coordinated drawing package, including plans, elevations, and custom millwork details per Moty's Design standards.
• Work with the project team to develop designs for specialty custom items.
• Finalize all FF&E information for handover to the specification team.

Construction Administration:

• Assist the project management team in reviewing shop drawings and material submittals.
• Help answer requests for information from contractors and vendors.

• Provide design clarifications as needed during the construction phase.
  

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a high-end interior design or architecture firm.
• A foundational understanding of the interior design process and a passion for luxury residential and commercial spaces.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
• Hand sketching and rendering skills are highly valued.
• Additional 3D rendering software skills (Enscape, V-Ray, etc.) are a strong asset.
• A collaborative spirit, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn and grow within a creative collective.
