Senior / Merchandiser - Bags & Accessories (6-month Contract)

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for coordinating daily operational activities in product development and production.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with vendors to support product development and production.
• Strategically negotiate costs and pricing with vendors to meet margin targets and optimise profitability.
• Source and submit material swatches, sketches, pictures, samples, and concepts to HQ regularly.
• Coordinate and expedite samples to ensure correct and complete execution and conceptualization.
• Investigate test failures and quality call out, initiating appropriate corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Discuss and consult with the manager to address all product-related issues in a timely manner.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate and liaise with HQ, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate responses at all times.
• Adapt to all internal processes and effectively utilize the system.
• Analyse and compile reports on product performance, vendor KPIs, and cost structures to support strategic decisions.
• Support the team with ad hoc tasks if any.

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of merchandising experience in bags and wallets.
• Strong knowledge of materials, including fabrics, trims, and leather, with a good understanding of testing and compliance procedures.
• Proficiency in PC applications and good data management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Good command of English, Chinese, and Putonghua.
• Accurate, organized, detail-oriented, and mature.
• Able to work under pressure and be team oriented.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to mainland China.
