Project Engineer
You will be responsible for leading the full design management of product performance, reliability and manufacturability in a professional, resourceful and compliant manner. You will be competent in developing mechanism based on design with a vital understanding of the manufacturing process. Additionally, you will be able to work across core functional teams to enhance, resolve or develop new processes and milestones to meet overall business objectives. The ideal Project Engineer will be resourceful, task-orientated, able to influence and engage with all levels of stakeholders with a passion for product development.
Requirements:
- Degree/ higher diploma holder
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant working experience in project engineering related function, preferably within the toy industry
- Solid knowledge of plastic materials selection, injection and die-casting tooling design
- Able to develop new mechanism base on existing project limitation.
- Verse in managing multiple projects across different functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficient in SolidWorks, Pro-E, and other design -operating systems such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & CorelDraw
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Engineering will be an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese; Written English and Chinese is a must
- Able to lead junior staff in project development, co-work with colleague from different expertise.
- Self-motivator, team player, resourceful and the willingness to acquire new skills and grow with the organization will be highly sought
Responsibilities:
- Handle hard and soft plastic toys projects from concept to production.
- To oversee the full design management of product performance, reliability and manufacturability through adherence to the company’s products’ standards and specifications to ensure design quality represents the company’s brand.
- Providing guidance and recommendations to internal teams and suppliers during the process to ensure manufacturing issues, improvements or updates to new/existing design and development standards.
- Ensure adherence to the design milestones are met by the developer/team and engineering debug is completed on schedule.
- Responsible for developing metrics and actions plans that drive continuous improvement of the cost, quality and cycle time of the product process assigned.
- Any other ah-hoc activities or assignments specific to the design, engineer or team at large
- Travel to mainland China is required.
