Slope Inspection Engineer (SIE)

Highway Contract no.: 14/HY/2024 Highways Department Term Contract (Management and Maintenance of Roads on Hong Kong Island excluding Expressways and High Speed Roads 2025 – 2030)

We are looking for a Slope Inspection Engineer (SIE) to oversee slope inspections and maintenance within the designated contract area, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Conduct Routine Maintenance Inspections (RMI) on roadside slopes in accordance with Geoguide 5 – Guide to Slope Maintenance and other relevant guidelines.
Supervise the maintenance of slopes, including surface protection, slope drainage, and access installations.
Identify and rectify slope defects as part of maintenance operations.
Coordinate with slope inspectors and maintenance teams to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
Prepare and submit inspection reports and maintenance records.

Requirements:

Education: Acceptable university degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in slope works.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Chapter 3 of Geoguide 5 and slope maintenance requirements.
