Video Production Assistant

Nomads Nation is growing, and we're looking for a Video Production Assistant who is ready to dive in, take ownership, and help us build the future of carry gear content.

If you’re tired of the corporate grind, want to work with a close-knit team, and love creating content that actually connects with people, this is the role for you.

You’ll be working closely with Margaret, our Media Manager, to help scale our video production and make a serious impact on the brand.

• Video Production: Shoot and edit videos for Nomads Nation’s YouTube, social media, and website. We’re looking for engaging, authentic content that speaks to our audience.
  

• Social Media Content Creation: Help us create content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll be part of our push to grow and engage our community.
  

• Collaborate: Work side-by-side with Margaret on content ideas, shoots, edits, and creative strategies. You’ll get a chance to have a say in what we create and how we approach it.
  

• Photo Shooting: Take high-quality photos of products for social media, website, and promotions.
  

• Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished videos that align with Nomads Nation’s brand and make people want to watch.
  

• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Be ready to jump in and help out wherever needed—whether it’s organizing video assets or assisting with shoot logistics. No two days are the same.
  
  

• Filming & Lighting Skills: You’re comfortable working with DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and lighting setups. You know how to get the right shot in any environment.
  

• Editing Software: Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (PR), After Effects (AE), and Photoshop (PS). If you're skilled at creating smooth transitions and compelling edits, we want to see it.
  

• Own Your Gear: You should have a 4K camera, gimbal, tripod, and Adobe software (PR, AE, PS). High-quality gear is essential for the kind of content we create.
  

• Attention to Detail: You care about the little things—whether it’s a clean cut, a perfectly lit scene, or making sure the audio matches the vibe. Everything has to be on point.
  

• Self-Starter: You take initiative and get things done. You don’t wait for instructions to move forward—you take ownership.
  

• Ready to Move Fast: We’re a startup, so we’re always adapting. You should be able to juggle multiple projects and work in a dynamic environment.
  

• Fluent in English: Strong written and spoken English is a must.
  

• Bonus—Cantonese: If you speak Cantonese, even better! It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s a plus.
  
  

• 2+ years working in video production or content creation.
  

• A portfolio or demo reel to showcase what you’ve worked on. Bonus points if you’ve worked on gear reviews or branded content.
  

• A creative mindset with the ability to stay ahead of trends and develop content that connects.
