As part of our rapid expansion in Greater China, we are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a high-caliber candidate to join us.

For our branch in Hong Kong, we are currently seeking a Vertical Manager – EV Battery & Energy Storage System (EVB & ESS). Key focus area include, but are not limited to:

Key Focus Areas

  • Formulate sales strategies for Röhlig’s core products (Air, Sea, 4PL, Contract Logistics) to achieve vertical targets under China’s budget.
  • Lead China-side engagement for global EVB/ESS accounts, ensuring alignment with international strategy and execution.
  • Act as the sector lead across China by supporting regional sales teams to capture EV-related opportunities and expanding customer coverage.
  • Own and develop a focused EVB/ESS customer portfolio that supports both regional priorities as well as global vertical goals.
  • Analyze EVB and energy storage market trends—such as regulatory shifts, innovation, and competitive movements—to inform long-term strategy and solution design.
  • Coordinate with product, procurement, marketing to align offerings, campaigns, and go-to-market efforts with customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, and support international or cross-functional engagements that strengthen the EVB vertical’s presence.

 Job Requirements

  • Extensive sales experience in freight forwarding, including 5+ years engaging with MNCs in the renewable energy or high-tech sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of EVB/ESS logistics, including warehousing, customs, multimodal transport; familiarity with Röhlig products and solutions is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in identifying and securing mid- to large-scale business opportunities in competitive or tender environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Highly engaging and innovative, with a solution-driven mindset to address complex customer challenges.
  • Resilient, persistent, results-oriented with the drive to work through challenges and deliver growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively across cultures and organizational levels.
  • Well-developed planning, time management, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and local language (if applicable) required.
