System Engineer (Infrastructure)

Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC), a non-profit making and non-statutory corporation responsible for the overall administration of “.hk” domain names in Hong Kong. HKIRC is also responsible for the on-going liaison with local and international bodies on issues relating to the development and administration of Internet domain name systems.  We are looking for highly motivated and independent candidates for the position of:

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily system monitoring and operation tasks, system administration
• Participate in system infrastructure architecture design and enhancements
• Setup and conduct proof-of-concept testing and evaluation on testbeds for assessing new technology, technical standards, and products
• Knowledge on Wintel & Linux, Virtualization technologies, Database etc.
• Develop operation procedures to ensure proper control, ITSM, risk management, system and data security are in place for all IT infrastructure and data centre operation.
• Support IT Projects such as DR Drill, BCP, Application Release
• 7x24 standby for emergency operation support for data centre & BAU operation

Requirements: 

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 3 years hands-on experience in VMware ESXi, Windows Server, Linux, DB in large scale networ
  • Solid Experience in MS Window server, Office365, SMS/ConfigMgr, Active Directory integrated DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and WINS operation.
  • Solid Experience and knowledge on Backup Technology (Veeam & Avamar) is an advantages
• Working experience in Hybrid SAN, Cloud-based solution, Cloudflare, AWS and Azure 
  • Knowledge in Windows & Linux platforms and scripting using shell/Python/PowerShell
  • Certificate Holder of MCSE+ / Cloud platform (e.g. Azure Administrator) is an advantages
• Extensive knowledge in IT security, ISO27001 and ITIL/ITSM is preferred
• Effective communication and Interpersonal skills
• Willing to work under pressure and challenges
