Senior/Principal - Electrical Design Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Hong Kong Design team. The ideal candidate will lead the electrical design for data center projects, ensuring that all systems are efficient, reliable, and meet industry standards. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

·       Designing complete Electrical Systems of a project

·       Preparation of Electrical system design calculations and schemes

·       Preparation of electrical BOD, BOQ, Cable schedule, Load estimation, and Quantity estimation

·       Design of Lighting, Power, cable tray, Earthing, and Equipment layouts

·       Calculations such as load calculation, Transformer / DG / Capacitor Bank sizing, Cable Sizing / Schedule / HT / LT Cable sizing, Tray Sizing, Lighting Calculation, Short Circuit Calculation, Earthing Calculation, and Lightning protection

·       Lead or mentor junior engineers in the electrical team (For more senior candidate)

Qualifications And Skills

·       Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineer

·       Minimum 4 to 15 years of experience in design consultancy working on buildings construction projects. Experience in Data Centre projects or similar mission critical facilities would be highly advantageous

·       Good understanding of electrical systems design

·       Good people and project management skills

·       Proficient in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP)

·       Fluency in English
