Role Overview: As a Senior Associate/Associate in our Deal Advisory Services Department, you will play an integral role in advising clients on complex transactions and financial strategies. You will work alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects—from financial and commercial due diligence to comprehensive valuation analyses and M&A advisory engagements. Key Responsibilities:

Due Diligence & Financial Analysis:

Assist in conducting financial and commercial due diligence engagements by analyzing target companies’ financial statements, identifying potential risks, and assessing value drivers.

Valuation & Market Analysis:

Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models (e.g. DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).

Perform industry, market, and comparable analysis to support valuation exercises and strategic decision-making.

M&A Advisory & Transaction Support:

Support M&A advisory assignments by preparing informative presentation materials, drafting key sections of reports, and coordinating with client management teams.

Internal Control Reviews & Additional Advisory Services:

Contribute to internal control reviews and other advisory projects, ensuring that recommendations align with both regulatory standards and best practices.

Reporting & Documentation:

Assist in drafting detailed and insightful reports and databooks that communicate analytical findings effectively.

Team Collaboration:

Engage with colleagues across various levels—from Associates to Directors—in collaborative problem solving, client interactions, and proposal preparation.

Qualifications and Requirements:
-
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related discipline.

Experience: For Senior Associate roles: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in due diligence, valuation, M&A advisory, or related financial advisory services; For Associate roles: Candidates with less experience but who demonstrate strong analytical skills and exceptional initiative will be considered. Experience in valuing and/or analysing of virtual assets and cryptocurrencies is preferred.

Professional Credentials: Holding or progressing towards professional qualifications such as HKICPA, ACCA, CFA Charter, or equivalent is preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling; familiarity including VBA/VBScript, Python, Power BI is a plus.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.

Personal Attributes: Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to deliver high-quality work under pressure with a proactive, can-do attitude.
