Senior Analyst Programmer / System Analyst (Bank, software development)

Job Duties

• Design, code, and test core banking systems and ad hoc applications to automate internal processes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and testing, enhancing code integration and quality.
• Manage monitoring solutions to ensure system performance, reliability, and timely issue resolution.
• Analyze and gather user requirements, designing effective system solutions.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and suggest improvements to our development practices through the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI.
• Work collaboratively with software vendors to enhance our systems.
• Availability for non-standard hours with compensation.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (preferably C#) and a scripting language (e.g. bash).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus), CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins), and containerization tools (e.g. Docker).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to achieve shared goals.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven track record in the design and development of critical software projects, demonstrating a capability to handle complex initiatives with a focus on innovation.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese.
