We now invite educators who are passionate about Physical Education and student empowerment to join us as we build a dynamic PE program for students.

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and skilled PE Teacher to teach PE subjects to our students. The PE Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering PE lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum standards, teaching a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities, and coaching sports teams. Successful candidates will have proven teaching ability and be able to act as a pedagogical leader as the program grows.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum standards which include UK National Curriculum Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A Levels.

  • Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the diverse abilities, needs, and learning styles of students.

  • Teach a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities during class, lunch periods, and after-school activities.

  • Assess students’ physical fitness, skill development, and progress, providing targeted instruction to foster improvement.

  • Incorporate elements of health and wellness education into physical activities to promote healthy lifestyle choices among students.

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.

  • Properly maintain and manage PE equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition and safe for use.

  • Organize and coach sports teams and other activity-based programs including House activities.

  • Coordinate and supervise internal and external sporting events, tournaments, and competitions.

  • Participate in professional development workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and research and to continuously enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

  • Collaborate with other teachers, school administrators, and community organizations to develop and implement comprehensive PE and wellness programs.

  • Support the development of school policies and protocols.

  • Supervise students during arrival, recess, dismissal, and after-school activities as needed

  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during all school-related activities

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

  • Participate in relevant meetings, training, and professional development.

  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and model professionalism, integrity, and care.

  • Support the ethos and values of Saint Too Bloom Academy through participation in school events and community initiatives.

 

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in PE, Education or related disciplines.

  • Minimum three (3) years of successful classroom (or similar) teaching experience.

  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Teaching License).

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).

  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and collaboration within a school environment.

  • Demonstrated academic excellence.

  • Satisfactory criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in PE, Education or related disciplines.

  • Experience working with secondary students from Mainland China.

  • Strong familiarity with educational technology.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

  • Collaborative, positive and inclusive approach - we strongly value harmony among staff.

  • Experience working with students with a range of learning needs and abilities.

 

Employment Details

  • Position Type: Part-time (Supply Teacher)

  • Location: Saint Too Bloom Academy, Tai Hang Tung, Kowloon

  • Start Date: Immediately

  • Reports To:  Director of Academics
