We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out supervision and co-ordination work for the project of “Batch 1B, 1C Development of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park”:

Resident Engineer (Ref. JD_23058RE)
The minimum qualifications required for the post of Resident Engineer (Geotechnical) shall be as follows:

Qualifications:

• MHKIE with 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience;
• Registered Professional Engineer (Geotechnical);
   

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as RGE’s representative and RGE TCP T5 on site for the quality site supervision of the project fulfilling the requirements from the Buildings Department and Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (2021 Edition).
• Completion of the Electronic TCP form filing system during the course of TCP duties.
• Supervision of the Project including guidance of Project contractor on programming, quality control, and ensuring site safety.
• Ensure that the geotechnical related works of the Project are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Project contract documents and statutory requirements. Check that the Project has been carried out according to the design intent and plans approved by the relevant government authorities, and materials used are in strict compliance with the Specification and relevant standards.
• Assist SRE in the review of site matters, work progress and any contractual related items.
• Monitor the effect of the site works, if any, to eliminate / minimize the adverse effect on the neighbouring private/ public properties and persons, including nuisances and potential danger.
• Coordinate / liaise with the adjoining site for any interfacing activities which will affect the site work, if applicable.
• Attend site progress meetings, interface and technical coordination meetings.
• Review the Contractor’s design (including temporary and alternative permanent works), site planning, shop drawing, material sample, test results or method statement submissions and other relevant submissions for the project.
• Review of the record plans and reports submitted by the Contractor either for the statutory submission to the Government or the Consultants.
• Review answers to technical queries from the contractor and supply further information to contractors for construction.
• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the SRE / Employer appropriate for the proper completion of the Project.

Employment will be on a contract basis for a period of 24 months commencing from end of March 2025 tentatively with possible extension subject to works condition. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualification and experience.
