Purchaser of Global sourcing hub

As a Global Sourcing Purchaser, you will be the key link between our German operations and China's manufacturing landscape. Your core mission is to identify, evaluate, and secure reliable Chinese suppliers for critical raw materials, ensuring optimal quality and value for our German parent company. Extensive travel within Mainland China include Kurtz Zhuhuai factory (up to 70%) is essential for supplier development and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

Electronics Manufacturing Industry

• StrategicSourcing: Proactively identify and research potential suppliers in China for specific raw materials

• Supplier Assessment: Conduct comprehensive on-site supplier audits

• Negotiation & Cost Management: Lead price negotiations, manage costs, and secure favorable commercial terms

• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key suppliers in China.

• Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with German QA/QC teams to establish and monitor supplier quality standards and resolve non-conformance issues.

Essential Requirements:

1. Experience: Proven track record in strategic procurement, sourcing, within the Electronics Manufacturing industry. 

2. China Expertise: Deep understanding of the Chinese manufacturing landscape, supplier base, and business culture. Demonstrated success in developing suppliers in Mainland China.

3. Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently (approx. 50-60%) within Mainland China. Valid travel documents required.

4. Language: Fluent Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is mandatory for effective supplier communication and negotiation. Good Business English (spoken and written) is required for reporting and communication with German HQ.

5. Location & Work Rights: Based in Hong Kong. Must possess a valid Hong Kong work permit.

6. Negotiation & Analysis: Strong negotiation skill

7. Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand technical requirements and manufacturing processes relevant to Electronics Manufacturing industry.

8. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, resilient, and able to work independently.

Highly Desirable:

• SAP is a plus
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and audit processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
