Project Coordinator (Arborist / Horticulturalist)

• Conduct the tree survey or assessment;

• Provide advice and supervise planting, transplanting;

• Tree surgery work and control of pest and disease affecting trees on the site and local nursery;

• Conduct an initial survey of trees and an initial site survey and submitting reports;

• Prepare monitoring reports on trees and submitting each monitoring report;

• Provide arboricultural advice in the preparation of method statements and any reports on repair of damage, supervising arboricultural work, and providing on-site advice in relation to site control within the tree protection zones and at their adjacent areas, for the preservation and protection measures for trees;

• Administrative and clerical duties assisted by concerned department;

• Complete other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma holder related to arboriculture including horticulture, agriculture, botany, forestry, plant science or equivalent qualifications;

• Certified Arborist of ISA/HKILA or Technician Member of AA is preferable;

• Obtained TRAQ of ISA or Professional Tree Inspection and completed Comprehensive Tree Risk Assessment and training course with assessment organized by the Tree Management Office (TMO) is preferable;

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in tree transplant, tree felling and tree risk assessment;

• Completion of Supervision of Tree Work course offered by CICTA

• Completion of course(s) on training of pruning techniques and horticultural tools and equipment such as chainsaws

• Good in written and spoken English and Chinese; Proficient in MS Office;
