Faculty of Medicine
The appointee will be responsible for (a) facilitating the implementation of admissions-related outreaches activities, such as admissions talks, interviews and workshops; (b) assisting in the organisation of student events, such as student ambassador programme and activities; (c) monitoring daily office operations, including counter services, telephone enquiries and meeting arrangements; (d) liaising with internal and external parties involved in student affairs; and (e) performing other duties as assigned in support of the Faculty’s mission and vision. Working outside normal office hours and during weekends may be required occasionally.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate word-processing skill; (iv) good IT proficiency in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of common web applications (such as Zoom and Canva); (v) at least 2 years’ work experience, preferably with student recruitment and outreach, student affairs, or event management experience gained in the education sector; (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (vii) good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills; and (viii) a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Applicants must submit copies of HKCEE/HKDSE certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and/or academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
