Part-time Research Assistant in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (Appointment for 6 months) [Ref. T/061/25]
The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences is spearheading an innovative project to assess the impact of innovative teaching methods, particularly related to large animal clinical skills development, within the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM). We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant who is passionate about contributing to the future of veterinary education.
Project
Disease Surveillance in Hong Kong Cattle, Buffalo and Pigs
Duties
The appointee will:

Assist in designing and developing teaching materials for veterinary training, focusing on accuracy and educational effectiveness;

Collaborate with the design team to refine materials based on feedback from veterinary educators and students;

Collect and organise data from user testing, including feedback from students and instructors on the usability and effectiveness of the materials;

Analyse student outcomes data;
-
Support undergraduate students working on the project;

Regularly communicate with the project lead to ensure alignment on objectives and progress; and
-
Perform other related duties to support the project, including administrative tasks.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Education/Animal Science or Veterinary Medicine. Experience with 3D modelling software and familiarity with 3D printing technologies and design techniques will be highly advantageous. The candidate should possess strong organisational skills and be keen on attention to detail. Excellent command of both written and spoken English, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team are essential.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
