Merchandiser

Responsibility

• Merchandising/Sourcing new suppliers, products and materials
• Working experience in porcelain, glassware and stainless steel, cookware is an advantage.
• Weekly updates with internal peer groups, maintaining data accuracy for system data entry.
• Negotiate costs, schedules and terms
• Follow up incoming sales orders, quotations and administrative documents
• Input and administrate sales/purchase orders to centralized Unleashed/Xero system.
• Independently responsible for complete order process. i.e preparing order sheets for suppliers, sample approvals, etc
• Follow up & monitor complete production process & schedule to ensure orders are completed accurately & on time
• Monitors the production WIP, testing and inspection and delivery status for all purchase orders to meet delivery goals.
• Samples follow up and packing and ensure to meet customers’ requirements
• Ensure the merchandise being imported complies with the customer's requirements and the regulatory norms
• Review pending or failed inspection reports with Merchandiser Manager to take necessary action
• Identifies and escalates any production, quality and delivery issues to Merchandiser Manager
• Maintain good relationships and communication with suppliers (China and India).
• Handle emails with Mainland / overseas vendors and headquarters independently.
• Familiar with shipping knowledge is an advantage
• Overseas / China travel when necessary
• Assist other duties and ad hoc duties as required

Requirements

• Min 3-5years experience about household manufacturing & merchandising or production.
• PC knowledge of Excel, Word and Chinese word processing
• Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Be a team-player and willing to learn, Self-motivated, flexible and able to meet tight deadlines
• Be hardworking with a sense of responsibility and able to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment;
• Have computer skills (MS office and outlook)
• Attentiveness to detail is essential
• Can be start immediately
