Manager/Assistant Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer) in the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:527490) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 5 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or of a related field. They should be competent communicators with a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to keep their subordinates motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. An excellent command of English and Chinese; a high level of interpersonal, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, as well as an appropriate level of IT knowledge are essential. Experience in project management and/or a good work knowledge of the latest educational technologies would be an advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer.
The appointee will play a versatile role in coordinating learning activities involving the application of novel educational technologies, including Generative AI, for undergraduate degree programmes. The introduction of new initiatives for teaching and learning will require the appointee to work closely with teaching staff and programme administrators, and to engage substantially with students in the process of deploying educational technologies in teaching and learning.
