Infrastructure Operations Manager

Our Investment Bank client is looking for an Infrastructure Operations Manager joining their regional infra team to manage core infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain thorough documentation regarding configurations, operations, and troubleshooting methods.
• Develop and deliver SLA management reports for management review.
• Identify and execute operational improvement strategies within relevant infrastructure domains.
• Install, configure, and oversee Linux/Unix servers.
• Conduct regular system updates and manage patches.
• Monitor system performance to ensure high availability.
• Enforce and uphold security best practices.
• Carry out regular security audits and vulnerability evaluations.
• Manage firewall settings and network security configurations.
• Identify and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Offer technical support to both internal and external users.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Set up and manage network services including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and NFS.
• Ensure adequate network connectivity and address network issues.
• Implement and oversee backup solutions.
• Formulate and test disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when necessary.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience: At least 7 years in Linux/Unix systems administration (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Solaris). and 3 years in infrastructure operations management.
• Strong understanding of shell scripting and automation tools.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the Financial Services Industry (FSI) or banking sector is a plus.
