Infrastructure Manager

We are looking for a candidate to join our customer's project.

(Duration: 3 months, subject to renewal depends on performance)

Key Responsibilities

• Server Management: Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of on-premise servers and cloud instances. This includes provisioning, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure performance.

• Network Operations: Manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity. Handle daily monitoring, optimization, and issue resolution to maintain secure and efficient data flow.

• Daily Operations and Administration: Perform routine tasks such as system backups, updates, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.

• Hybrid Infrastructure Oversight: Ensure integration and synchronization between on-premise site and cloud platforms, including hybrid cloud strategies for scalability and disaster recovery.

• Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and manage monitoring tools to track system health, generate performance reports, and alert on potential issues.

• Team membership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as application or oversea IT team for any project development.

• Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and cloud services, negotiating contracts and ensuring SLAs are met.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are highly desirable.

• Experience: 4+ years in infrastructure management. Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud).

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of server operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server).
  • Expertise in networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP) and tools (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
  • Proficiency with Cloud platforms and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
  • Experience with monitoring and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Leadership experience with a focus on team development.

• Other Requirements: Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support. Ability to travel occasionally to on-premise sites if needed.
