College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

Information Technology Officer / Assistant Information Technology Officer (User Support)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) manage, build, deploy and review PC image for end users’ computers;

(b) setup and manage systems;

(c) manage IT service for college events/exercises and IT facilities;

(d) maintain software and hardware such as unit web sites, servers and storage devices;

(e) serve as the primary contact of IT support for senior staff;

(f) prepare user guides/training materials and conduct user training demonstrations;

(g) liaise with IT service providers and manage IT projects, and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee may be required to work on shift duties in evenings and on weekends.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in Information Technology, Computing Studies or a related discipline;

(b) at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience;

(c) good interpersonal and communication skills, and

(d) proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua.

Preference will be given to those with knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Azure, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, ZOOM, HTML, MacOS and iOS device management, Linux scripting and server setup.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Information Technology Officer.

Conditions of Service

An attractive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a two-year contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
