Head of Merchandising

Job Responsibility:

• Conduct market analysis, SWOT analysis, formulate and implement sourcing strategy for our OEM SDA products, includes but not limited to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Expand and diversify Company’s product portfolio with compelling assortment to drive sales results in German markets
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with German customers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Regularly monitor project milestones to ensure they are achieved on time according to budget & specifications, and address any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle, facilitate discussions to come up with solutions, close key shortfalls to ensure meeting quality specifications and good value to our german customers
• Lead and manage the sourcing team, provide guidance and support to enhance performance
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with German customers to foster collaboration externally, and internal foster strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategies are integrated throughout the organization for more effective and cohesive operations
• Ad hoc tasks or assignments as required by the Company

Requirements:

• Formal commercial education
• 10+ years of experience in handling SDA products for German and European discounters, familiar with their trends and best practices
• Experience in sourcing factories in China; in SE Asia an advantage
• Knowledge of SDA product logistics from China to Europe is beneficial
• Proven people management experience and capability
• Proficiency in analytical reasoning, market research, negotiation techniques, and customer relationship management with German customers
• Strong understanding of German and European market & consumer behavior
• Highly self-motivated, able to lead and motivate people, responsible, mature and stable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
• Good in verbal and written English, fluency in German is essential, and knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous
