About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the 24-month Graduate Trainee Programme in the Building Consultancy Department.

You will be part of the dynamic team responsible for offering comprehensive building surveying services from a property consultancy perspective. This full-time position offers a structured training programme not only in building surveying but also in property management. You will gain theoretical learning and practical experience in the building surveying sector.

Responsibilities

  • Handle projects and develop proposals including interpreting client's brief and project objectives

  • Participate in fitting out, renovation, maintenance and repair projects

  • Conduct on-site building inspections and condition surveys

  • Coordinate alterations and addition works including preparing specifications or licensing requirements

  • Assist in building plan submissions to the government departments

  • Conduct tendering exercises including analysis and award

  • Supervise project implementation including cost and quality control

  • Provide support in property management tasks including budgeting and financial reporting

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Building Surveying, Building Studies or equivalent

  • A proactive, positive and attentive to detail approach to work

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • A keen interest in the property industry and a desire to develop a career in building consultancy

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing

  • Good spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
